geology and history of the Colli Albani
along the southern slopes of the ancient volcano of the Alban Hills wind different paths, tracks and some known, others more unusual and hidden. Following these paths you can listen to the stories of the woods, places and people that once they crossed on foot to reach work areas. The paths lead in chestnut spots lining the sides of ancient craters. At the chestnut coppice grown themselves with the natural formations of oaks and maples, hornbeam and hazel, living with and strawberry patches of gorse. This route is like reading a textbook of geology in the open air. It 's a beautiful corner of our land that is worth listening to and learning about going through it.
